NJ Blogalopolis
Edisongrassroots.com has a sister blog titled the "NJ Blogalopolis."
What in the world is that? Perhaps the best answer is to describe how it came about:
Life in Edison is essentially a reflection of life in New Jersey. So I asked myself, what could I do to try to capture the experience of life in the Garden State?
That gave birth to the idea that it might be kind of neat to assemble blogs about life in New Jersey.
When I researched what NJ blogs were out there, I found they fell into about three dozen or so basic categories. I then undertook to design RSS feeds that fetch blog posts from all the blogs I found within a blog category, which I have whimically dubbed "mega-feeds."
I created a blog at Wordpress for the NJ Blogalopolis, which you can visit here or by clicking the image at the top of this page.
The NJ Blogalopolis is also available in a 'no-frills' format on Blogspot which has the feeds embedded at the bottom of the page: see here. In this version everything is on a single page.
The NJ Blogalopolis is a fantastic source for statewide news and opinion. It also has lots of fun topics to keep people entertained.
I'm all for adding more blogs to it. But I kind of ran out of steam at the time when I went searching for blogs about a year ago. In any event, I encourage readers to share links to blogs that you feel deserve to be included, and I'll try to get them in there.
